Royal Patronage

His Majesty King Charles, while still Prince of Wales, agreed to become the Patron of the Historic Houses Foundation.

His Majesty has long been a champion of historic buildings and heritage-led regeneration, together with the retention of essential Building Craft skills. Through his Patronage, His Majesty is lending his support to the Historic Houses Foundation’s work to ensure the survival of a wide range of different types of historic buildings. The Foundation’s recently launched Match 2022 Appeal is raising additional funds to ensure that this work can continue in the future.

Norman Hudson, Chairman of the Historic Houses Foundation, said:

We could not be more delighted to receive his encouragement and his recognition of the work of our small independent charity at this particularly important time in our growth. It is an emphatic endorsement of what we do and the way we do it.”
